It should have been simple and straightforward—business, and nothing but business. A quick trip to Colorado to scout out a location for my newest real estate development acquisition. Fly in, drive to the location, talk the owners into selling, sign some papers, and go home.
A business trip like any other, something I’ve done hundreds of times without issue.
This time, however, I was waylaid. First by a runaway horse—and then by an angry, stormy pair of vivid blue eyes, a massive, mountainous set of brawny shoulders, a strong, powerful pair of hands, and a voice like thunder over the horizon.
Will is a man out of another era, a man of stillness and action in equal measure—a man in complete possession of himself and his world in a way I’ve never experienced. And suddenly, somehow, he comes to possess me, my mind, my heart, and and my body, in a way neither of us are ready for, and neither of us know how to resist.
What should have been a simple business deal quickly spirals out of control, becoming a struggle of life and death, a battle of hearts and passion.
Wilder returns to the 50 States of Love project with Cowboy in Colorado. This offering is another sweet contemporary that can stand on its own merits whilst falling in love in another state.
In this book readers are introduced to a couple who can’t quite see eye to eye. Brooklyn and Will are polar opposites. In fact they could be the ultimate example of a cliché.
Opposite worlds, opposite goals, everything you can think of is thrown at this couple. Wilder really drives home the fact they these two are opposites. It makes the chemistry and the falling in love all the sweeter.
Brooklyn is a rich heiress who isn’t resting on her father’s name. This woman is a go – getter and she determined to become as successful and prove herself. What starts as simple deal to make the real estate division profitable turns into a whole another different game when she meets her match.
Will is the typical alpha male, who could more driven then Brooklyn. Readers have to decided which one is as these two are ready to rumble. Will comes across as the alpha male of readers’ dreams , he isn’t wanting to play ball business wise.
The romance happening between these two is another story and thanks to a little helping hand, these two find themselves in close quarters and the rest is history. Well with a little bit of drama that feeds on the tension between them. These two characters bring plenty to the table and this book is pure addiction.
As who doesn’t want to save a cowboy and it’s such a fun book. Wilder lets them take their sweet time falling in love and drags out the tension. It the perfect cliché inspired read and will leave you with a smile on your face. The strong suits of both characters make this book work with some tender loving care and forgiveness
This standalone project is a project to watch out for. Without living the comforts on your reading nook, readers can escape to Colorado and fall in love with a cowboy.
