Chasing the infamous Black Widow, they may be the ones getting caught.
Maddie didn’t want to be an outlaw, but fate forced her hand. Now she’s known as the Black Widow, the wild and deadly leader of a group of women fugitives. The law has hunted them before, but Maddie can’t walk away from her new life until justice is served.
Landon and Seth are experienced U.S. Marshals. Bringing in a rag-tag group of women outlaws should be easy. But one look at Maddie and everything changes. Right and wrong, lust and duty blur along the edges as these two rough cowboys discover the truth about Maddie’s dark past—and fall in love.
A new series with two heroes! Who doesn’t love a cowboy…or two? This steamy MFM historical romance is ALL about the woman.
By this is the what seventh or eighth book I have reviewed from Vale. She one of the rare few ménage authors I have been reading lately because of time and the fact I know I will get a guaranteed good read from her. I actually nearly missed this book but since I get the author’s newsletter. I was quickly clued and excited to read her latest.
Whilst I enjoy any of Vale’s books, I really enjoy her Western historical and was glad to see her latest is return to that period. In this one Flirting with the Law, the tables are turned so to speak. The heroine is an outlaw but she isn’t an conventional outlaw so to speak. She is a bit of a Robin Hood and she gain a bit of reputation as a result . Now know as the black Widow, Maddie has left her pass behind but the pain still there.
She done things she didn’t expect ever to do and Maddie isn’t ready for thing to end. She isn’t a bad woman, just a conflicted woman that lead a rag tag team to do things. She protected them but when it comes to herself she isn’t that careful. She had her chance at happiness. She going to fade away into the sunset
Until she is forced to make a decisions that may be her best one. Maddie is in the hot seat and it was interesting to see the males be more of a secondary as Maddie action and thoughts took the lead. She through caution to the wind and Landon and Sean were rightly timed to capture her attention.
Putting everyone in interesting positions as Landon and Sean arren’t just there by chance. So it was fun watching them have this connection yet hampered by their own little secrets. They are Marshals on a mission and it was fun watching these three kinda stumble their way to happiness.
Flirting with the Law may take a different spin on things but it still an enjoyable book from Vale. I love the concept and can’t wait to read what happens to the others girls. Whilst this felt a little isntalvoe. I enjoyed the overall story and the characters
