It has been a while since I read a Highlander novel and when Jarecki came to my attention, I thought it was now or never since I’m totally lacking in the historical department of late.  Highland Knight to Remember definitely gave me what I was wanting and more.

Whilst this is the third book, I didn’t’ find anything missing or lacking by not reading the first one.  This was truly a novel that fit the brief and gave as an adventure that you won’t forget in a hurry. One that is fitting of the tales of highlanders we know through history.

The series revolves around the Campbells and whilst like I said I haven’t read the rest. I was immediately drawn in by Gyllis a determine highlander woman who has been in love with Sean MacDougall ,  a knight that was fostered with her family when she was younger.  She knows his reputation and is determined to have him as her.  Sean is also  keen to do so when Gyllis makes her move

However her brother and head of the family has other ideas. He might like Sean and get on with him fine. Sean’s reputation is something that he doesn’t want his family to do anything with.

Until everything comes to breaking point when things happened a the Festival that lead these two  on two separate paths that  sets of an adventure that is fitting of any highlander novel. Love is on the cards for these but only if they  can survive what is in front of them  . Can they ?

Fate has a big part of this novel and I admire Gyllis a lot in this novel  She stricked down by a illness that leaves her reeling and honestly she could of taken pity. However she didn’t . She was the same courageous woman I saw in the beginning , determined to  over come.  Like Sean and the death of  his father leaving him  as the new clean lead of the the McDougall clan and facing his own battles. Weaving together their stories , Highland Knight to Remember is an adventure that you don’t’ want to miss .
