review

You Make Me has sat on my  TBR list for  ages and I have never got around to reading it. I don’t’ know why. I adore McCartney as a NA writer . I  guess  because  I never really paid attention to the blurb .  As I would have been all over this book in a heartbeat  should of I had known it was one my favourite clichés.

Second chance romance .

The lines have been blurred for Caitlyn and Heath ever since they met as teenagers on the coast of Maine. With a revolving door of foster siblings, Caitlyn always keep things close to her chest. Never letting anyone know her deepest thoughts until Heath  enter her life at  such pivot time.  Life wasn’t for the either of them but  they made things worked.

For one year these two had a crazy heady relationship and they explored  many first. Until Heath disappeared with out a trace and left Caitlyn wondering and betrayed by him.

Fast forward to the present, the Caitlyn we soon come to learn about is the one she used to be. Heart  broken she rose above the ashes and reinvented herself as the soriety girl everyone loves. She has the perfect life now.  The It Boyfriend and a future that  means her past is firmly behind her .

No blurred lines or heart break. However fate has other ideas.  When things are just starting to become perfect as Heath decides to show up out of the blue and make a place in Caitlyn ‘s life again.

Threatening the walls she has built so carefully to come down  but what is the cost ?

Choices are  something that we make in our every day lives and as a result there is a cost. Cost  for two these two wasn’t anything different . It just had come back to haunt them.

You Make me Is a second chance  story that is typical new adult from an author that I adore. Why  I didn’t pick up soon is a mystery to me as I adored the story  overall. Heath and Caitlyn had a bond that was so deep and indescribable. They were draw to together like moths are to a light. It made for some tough choices though with this book and whilst I don’t approve of them all.  It’s a beautiful story though and I love how she set things up for future instalments .
