Re-released in a second edition with new scenes.

Jack and Sam married Abby. It was supposed to be for forever, but lately Abby wonders where her alpha male has gone. Jack has retreated and life has become decidedly vanilla. It isn’t the true marriage she and Sam wanted. Sam and Abby know the time has come to fight for what they need.

A call from his mentor forces Jack to revisit the club where he discovered his sexuality. Jack’s half-brother is in the city and interested in a little blackmail. Can Jack handle two defiant subs and a brother in need of some tough love?

Sometimes all it takes to find the way home is a little love and a lot of mischief.

Come back to the beginning and revisit some of your favorite old characters or find new ones to love. Siren in the City has been revised and new scenes added. And if you look closely, you’ll find not only the beginnings of the Sophie Oak world, but also the seeds of how McKay-Taggart began…

It is interesting to learn this book was originally written after other books  in this series considering that this book picks up six months after the events of Small Town Siren.  Plus there are some key players in this book introduced who have a starring role in other books in this series.

In this one we discover Jack’s and Sam’s past in The Club.  The Club is an intriguing place and would have loved to seen a proper scene  with the trio but  Abby isn’t  the typical submissive which  Julian pointed that out. The relationship is unique in the sense of roles and I liked  things the way they are as I would missed Abby’s sassiness if she was forced in a situation that would make her retreat .

This book is the perfect follow up as it allows for the trio to figure  out the  new dynamics of the relationship which the previous novel alluded to  .  There  is a new situation facing the trio that offers a bit of  a threat and I loved seeing that played out . However it  is very much a Abby, Jack and Sam story with a few new faces that you would grow to adore it seems judging by the blurbs of the future books.

It’s all about pushing boundaries in this book and Abby isn’t please about the aftermath of the last few months. She doesn’t feel like the Siren she supposed to be  as Jack has retreated in a shell of his former self.  He isn’t the alpha we all grew to love in the previous book as  he hasn’t been able to deal with the events that happened at the end of the last book.  Until he is forced to answer to a high authority, his former boss and mentor  Julian who helps awaken the alpha we all know and love and leaves Abby and Sam behind  at home hoping they would understand .  As he isn’t ready to face them as their alpha and Dom but these two aren’t letting a chance by pass them to get Jack back .

Those two wouldn’t know the meaning of  understanding when it comes to family and they are determined to show Jack that they need him more than ever and determined to have some fun . As the Club seems the perfect play to rediscover what they have lost and have a chance to see where it all begin for Abby.

It as good as the first book in a different way as it shows that relationships aren’t all smooth sailing and that everyone has their up’s and down’s no matter what the type of the relationship is.  I liked the revisit as it open up things more and allowed things to become cemented whilst planting the seeds for future books.

I do look forward to both  Julian’s and Lucas’s books given both of them seeming intriguing for different reasons.  They shaped the novel in a big way and I Loved how Lucas came into his own and offered a chance to see a part of Jack that we didn’t see before.  This book was intriguing on a number of levels and I love how it came together. It’s everything you loved in the first book plus more.
